Maintenance Policy
Effective Date: June 1st, 2026
Product Categories: Caftans, and Related Accessories
This Maintenance Policy is a general business template and should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before official use.
1. Purpose of the Policy
Asmae Corp. is committed to preserving the beauty, quality, and long-term value of its luxury caftans. Because our caftans may include delicate fabrics, hand embroidery, crystals, pearls, gemstones, metallic threads, couture finishing, and other refined materials, they require special care and maintenance.
This Maintenance Policy explains the recommended care standards, customer responsibilities, repair conditions, storage guidelines, and maintenance services related to Asmae Corp. luxury caftans.
2. Scope of the Policy
This policy applies to all luxury caftans sold, customized, personalized, altered, or serviced by Asmae Corp., including but not limited to:
- Ready-to-wear luxury caftans
- Made-to-order caftans
- Couture caftans
- Custom and personalized caftans
- Hand-embroidered caftans
- Crystal, pearl, gemstone, or diamond-embellished caftans
- Bridal, ceremonial, evening, and limited-edition caftans
- Related belts, sashes, detachable trains, capes, veils, and accessories
3. General Care Responsibility
After delivery or collection, the customer is responsible for maintaining the caftan properly. Luxury caftans are delicate garments and should not be treated like ordinary clothing.
Customers are expected to follow all care instructions provided by Asmae Corp., including fabric-specific, embellishment-specific, and storage-related guidance. Failure to follow the recommended care instructions may result in damage and may limit or void any available maintenance, repair, or quality service.
4. Care Instructions Provided by Asmae Corp.
Each luxury caftan may be delivered with care guidance based on its materials and embellishments. Care instructions may include recommendations for:
- Cleaning method
- Dry cleaning requirements
- Steaming or ironing limitations
- Storage method
- Handling of embroidery or gemstones
- Protection from perfume, makeup, moisture, and sunlight
- Travel and transport precautions
- Repair or alteration recommendations
If no specific care card is provided, the customer should contact Asmae Corp. before cleaning or altering the caftan.
5. Professional Cleaning Requirement
Many Asmae Corp. luxury caftans require professional dry cleaning or specialist garment care. This is especially important for caftans made with silk, velvet, brocade, lace, satin, chiffon, organza, metallic thread, pearls, crystals, gemstones, or hand embroidery.
Customers should not machine wash, bleach, tumble dry, soak, scrub, or harshly iron luxury caftans unless written care instructions specifically allow it.
Asmae Corp. is not responsible for damage caused by improper washing, home stain removal, unqualified dry cleaners, excessive heat, harsh chemicals, or incorrect cleaning methods.
6. Stain Treatment
Stains should be treated immediately but carefully. Customers should not rub, scrub, or apply strong cleaning products to the caftan. Rubbing may damage the fabric, spread the stain, or loosen embroidery and embellishments.
For stains caused by makeup, perfume, oil, food, drink, henna, ink, deodorant, or body products, the customer should contact a professional cleaner experienced with luxury garments.
For high-value caftans, including gemstone or diamond-embellished pieces, customers are encouraged to consult Asmae Corp. before attempting any cleaning or stain removal.
7. Protection from Perfume, Cosmetics, and Chemicals
Luxury caftans should be protected from perfume, deodorant, hairspray, makeup, lotion, body oils, and other cosmetic products. These substances may stain fabric, discolor embroidery, weaken fibers, or affect metallic and jeweled embellishments.
Customers should apply perfume and cosmetics before wearing the caftan and allow all products to dry completely. Perfume should not be sprayed directly onto the caftan.
Asmae Corp. is not responsible for discoloration, staining, fading, or fabric damage caused by cosmetics, chemicals, or personal care products.
8. Handling of Embroidery and Embellishments
Many Asmae Corp. caftans include delicate handwork such as embroidery, beading, crystals, pearls, gemstones, sequins, metallic thread, or jeweled buttons. These elements must be handled with care.
Customers should avoid:
- Pulling loose threads
- Sitting or leaning on heavy embellishments for long periods
- Wearing sharp jewelry that may catch on fabric
- Carrying rough handbags against the caftan
- Folding heavily embellished areas tightly
- Applying direct heat to embroidery or stones
- Exposing embellishments to moisture or chemicals
Minor irregularities in handmade embroidery or natural materials are part of the artisanal character of the garment and are not considered defects.
9. Wearing Guidelines
When wearing a luxury caftan, customers should take reasonable care to avoid damage. The caftan should be lifted slightly when walking on stairs, entering vehicles, or moving across rough surfaces. Long hems and trains should be protected from dirt, moisture, and friction.
For bridal, ceremonial, or heavily embellished caftans, assistance may be required while dressing, walking, or arranging the train. High-value caftans should be worn in appropriate environments and protected from rain, excessive humidity, smoke, food spills, and crowded spaces where pulling or snagging may occur.
10. Storage Guidelines
Proper storage is essential to preserve the shape, color, and embellishments of a luxury caftan. The caftan should be clean and completely dry before storage.
Asmae Corp. recommends:
- Storing the caftan in a breathable garment bag
- Avoiding plastic covers for long-term storage
- Keeping the caftan away from direct sunlight
- Storing in a cool, dry, and ventilated place
- Using padded hangers for lighter caftans
- Folding very heavy or heavily embellished caftans with acid-free tissue paper
- Avoiding crowded wardrobes where beads or embroidery may be crushed
- Refolding stored garments occasionally to prevent permanent creases
Heavy caftans should not be hung for long periods if the weight may stretch the shoulders, seams, or fabric.
11. Travel and Transport Care
Luxury caftans should be transported carefully. For travel, the caftan should be placed in a protective garment bag or luxury garment box. Embellished areas should be protected with soft tissue or fabric layers.
For high-value caftans, Asmae Corp. may recommend insured transport, hand-carrying, or secure courier service. Customers are responsible for ensuring that garments are properly protected during travel after delivery.
Damage caused by poor packing, airline handling, luggage compression, humidity, or improper transport is not the responsibility of Asmae Corp.
12. Ironing and Steaming
Customers should use caution when ironing or steaming luxury caftans. Direct ironing may damage silk, satin, velvet, chiffon, embroidery, beads, crystals, pearls, gemstones, and metallic threads.
Asmae Corp. recommends:
- Using low heat when appropriate
- Ironing inside out when safe
- Using a pressing cloth
- Avoiding direct heat on embellishments
- Steaming gently from a distance
- Testing a hidden area before applying heat
- Using a professional garment steamer for delicate pieces
Velvet, silk, and heavily embellished caftans should preferably be steamed or pressed by a professional.
13. Maintenance Inspection
Customers are encouraged to inspect their caftans after each use and before long-term storage. Inspection should include:
- Loose threads
- Missing beads or crystals
- Weak seams
- Open hems
- Fabric pulls
- Stains or discoloration
- Damaged lining
- Loose buttons, hooks, or closures
- Tarnishing of metallic details
Small issues should be repaired early to prevent larger damage.
14. Repair Services
Asmae Corp. may offer repair services for eligible caftans, depending on the condition of the garment, availability of materials, and type of repair required.
Repair services may include:
- Reattaching beads, crystals, pearls, or gemstones
- Repairing embroidery
- Fixing seams or hems
- Replacing hooks, buttons, or closures
- Adjusting lining
- Replacing damaged trims when available
- Minor fabric restoration
- Re-securing belts, sashes, or detachable elements
Repair services may be subject to additional fees unless the issue is confirmed by Asmae Corp. as a production defect covered under applicable terms.
15. Alterations
Alterations may be available depending on the caftan design and construction. Alteration requests may include length adjustment, sleeve adjustment, neckline adjustment, waist refinement, lining adjustment, or minor fit corrections.
Alterations may not be possible for some heavily embroidered, beaded, gemstone-set, or couture caftans without affecting the original design.
Unauthorized alterations by third parties may affect the garment’s structure and may void any maintenance, repair, or quality claim with Asmae Corp.
16. Maintenance of Gemstone, Crystal, Pearl, or Diamond-Embellished Caftans
Caftans containing crystals, pearls, gemstones, or diamond elements require special handling. These embellishments may be sensitive to impact, pressure, moisture, perfume, cleaning products, or improper storage.
Customers should avoid:
- Dropping or crushing embellished areas
- Applying perfume or chemicals near stones
- Exposing pearls or gemstones to excessive moisture
- Using ultrasonic cleaners on garment embellishments
- Wearing heavy accessories that may scratch stones
- Folding jeweled areas tightly
For caftans valued at a high amount, Asmae Corp. recommends periodic professional inspection and appropriate insurance coverage.
17. High-Value Caftan Security and Insurance
For rare, couture, gemstone, diamond, or high-value caftans, customers are encouraged to obtain suitable insurance coverage after purchase. Insurance may cover loss, theft, accidental damage, transport risk, or other events depending on the customer’s policy.
Asmae Corp. is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage after delivery or collection, except where required by applicable law or expressly agreed in writing.
For maintenance, repair, or inspection of high-value caftans, secure delivery and insured shipping may be required.
18. Seasonal and Long-Term Preservation
Luxury caftans worn occasionally should be preserved carefully between uses. Before long-term storage, the caftan should be professionally cleaned if necessary and inspected for hidden stains, perspiration marks, loose embellishments, or fabric stress.
Asmae Corp. recommends airing the caftan occasionally in a clean, shaded, and dry space. The garment should not be exposed to direct sunlight during airing.
For heirloom or ceremonial caftans, preservation boxes, acid-free tissue, breathable covers, and controlled storage conditions are recommended.
19. Maintenance After Events
After weddings, ceremonies, galas, or special events, the caftan should be inspected as soon as possible. Event wear may expose the garment to makeup, perfume, sweat, food, drink, dust, flooring, and friction.
Customers should not store the caftan immediately after an event without checking its condition. Stains left untreated for long periods may become permanent.
For bridal or heavily embellished caftans, professional post-event cleaning and inspection is strongly recommended.
20. Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for:
- Following all care instructions
- Using qualified professional cleaners
- Avoiding improper washing or ironing
- Storing the caftan correctly
- Protecting the caftan from stains and damage
- Reporting quality concerns within the required timeframe
- Avoiding unauthorized alterations
- Packing the caftan properly for transport
- Paying applicable repair, cleaning, shipping, or alteration fees
- Maintaining insurance for high-value garments when appropriate
21. Reporting Maintenance Concerns
Any concern regarding fabric damage, loose embellishments, seam issues, or suspected production defects should be reported to Asmae Corp. as soon as possible.
The customer may be asked to provide:
- Order number
- Purchase date
- Photos or videos of the issue
- Description of how the issue occurred
- Cleaning or alteration history
- Storage conditions
- Packaging photos, if shipping damage is suspected
Asmae Corp. will review the information and determine whether the issue qualifies for repair, paid maintenance, inspection, replacement support, or other resolution.
22. Exclusions from Free Maintenance or Repair
Asmae Corp. may decline free maintenance, repair, or replacement for damage caused by:
- Improper washing or dry cleaning
- Use of bleach or harsh chemicals
- Heat damage from ironing, steaming, or drying
- Perfume, cosmetics, deodorant, oil, or makeup stains
- Food, drink, henna, ink, or other external stains
- Incorrect storage
- Moth or insect damage
- Mold, mildew, humidity, or water exposure
- Unauthorized alterations
- Normal wear and tear
- Pulling, snagging, tearing, or friction
- Accidental damage during events
- Damage caused by travel or transport
- Loss or theft after delivery
- Failure to follow care instructions
23. Normal Wear and Natural Variation
Luxury caftans are often handmade and may include natural fabrics and artisanal embellishments. Slight variations in embroidery, bead placement, color tone, fabric texture, or hand-finishing are normal and do not constitute defects.
Over time, some fabrics may soften, metallic threads may naturally age, and embellishments may require minor maintenance. These changes may be considered normal wear depending on use and care.
24. Maintenance Fees
Maintenance, repair, restoration, cleaning coordination, alteration, embellishment replacement, and inspection services may be subject to fees.
Fees may depend on:
- Type of caftan
- Fabric and embellishment complexity
- Labor required
- Availability of original materials
- Shipping and insurance needs
- Urgency of the request
- Whether the service is standard or couture-level
Asmae Corp. will provide an estimate where possible before beginning paid maintenance work.
25. Replacement of Materials
Asmae Corp. will make reasonable efforts to match original materials when repairs are required. However, exact replacement may not always be possible for discontinued fabrics, rare embroidery threads, custom-dyed materials, gemstones, crystals, pearls, or limited-edition trims.
When exact replacement is unavailable, Asmae Corp. may offer a suitable alternative for customer approval.
26. Maintenance Timeline
Maintenance and repair timelines depend on the condition of the caftan, availability of materials, artisan schedules, shipping time, and complexity of the work.
Estimated timelines are provided for guidance only. Couture, gemstone, or heavily embroidered caftans may require longer maintenance periods due to the level of craftsmanship involved.
27. Shipping for Maintenance or Repair
Customers sending caftans to Asmae Corp. for maintenance or repair must use secure packaging. High-value garments should be shipped with tracking, insurance, and signature confirmation.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the customer is responsible for shipping costs, customs fees, insurance, and risk of loss during shipment to Asmae Corp.
Asmae Corp. may require specific shipping instructions for high-value or delicate garments.
28. Refusal of Maintenance Service
Asmae Corp. reserves the right to refuse maintenance, repair, restoration, or alteration services if:
- The garment is too damaged to repair safely
- The requested service may compromise the design
- The garment has been altered by an unauthorized third party
- Materials are unavailable
- The caftan is counterfeit or not produced by Asmae Corp.
- The requested work is outside Asmae Corp.’s service capabilities
- The customer declines required shipping, insurance, or service conditions
29. Preservation of Design Integrity
Asmae Corp. may decline alteration or repair requests that would damage the artistic, cultural, or structural integrity of the caftan. Luxury caftans are carefully designed, and major changes may affect the balance of fabric, embroidery, embellishment, and silhouette.
Any approved alteration should respect the original craftsmanship and design identity of the garment.
30. Policy Updates
Asmae Corp. reserves the right to update or modify this Maintenance Policy at any time. The applicable version is the version in effect at the time maintenance, repair, or service is requested, unless otherwise required by law.
31. Acknowledgment
By purchasing, wearing, storing, cleaning, or submitting a luxury caftan for service, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted this Maintenance Policy.
Proper care is essential to preserving the elegance, value, and craftsmanship of every Asmae Corp. luxury caftan.
